WARNING!
It has been brought to our attention that some of our clients have been contacted by a firm called Hamilton and Pricehouse offering to buy shares in Skye Pharma PLC at a highly inflated price in return for a deposit "bond" payment.
This is a "boiler room" scam and should not be considered as a suitable proposal.
If you have been contacted by Hamilton and Pricehouse, or indeed, by any other firm making an offer that seems particularly attractive, please let us know.
As the old adage goes....if it looks too good to be true, it usually is!!
Cash recommendations report
February 2011
In this report, we have set out a description of the various types of personal deposit accounts available and the most up to date rates offered by banks and building societies. These are the rates that we recommend but there may be better rates available with lesser known providers. BFP has not conducted an in-depth review of the financial stability of each of these institutions but can confirm that they are all covered by the FSCS, as above. Whilst there may be other financial institutions offering higher rates of interest, their exclusion from the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme means we choose not to recommend them at this point in time...

Broadway Bulletin - Winter 2011
December 2011
Welcome to our Winter newsletter. 2011 seems to have passed us by at a rate of knots. Whilst the investment markets remain unsettled and at the forefront of our minds, it's difficult to remember all of the events that have occurred in the last 12 months and how those may (or may not) have affected the long-term investment outlook.

Local Financial Planning Firm Supports Financial Planning Week
November 2011
Broadway Financial Planning Ltd (BFP) is delighted to announce that it’s supporting “Financial Planning Week” from 21st to 27th November 2011. Organised by the Institute of Financial Planning, this is a national awareness campaign aimed at encouraging consumers to take some simple steps to improve their financial “fitness”.
Keri Carter, Director and Certified Financial PlannerCM commented “We are passionate about Financial Planning and want to encourage consumers to take small steps to improve their financial situation wherever possible. This could be as simple as creating a monthly budget and therefore doesn’t necessarily need to be complex.
We wanted to find ways in which we could help promote this message during the national campaign. We decided to offer a free 60-minute consultation to the first six responses received during the week in return for a suggested minimum donation of £20 to our chosen charity, St Richard’s Hospice.
We hope that this will encourage consumers to seek some useful advice during this period of financial uncertainty but also support a worthy and local charity. Those that are interested in taking advantage of this opportunity should contact the office on 01386 858121”
